Why we minister…..

Many people think that they are just too sinful or “dirty” to go to church. Others simply believe that they don’t fit in or have adequate clothing, and still others don’t have transportation. There are millions of people in the U.S. who have never heard the Gospel, or even own a Bible. We take the gospel OUTSIDE the walls to reach those people! Our heart is in our own community, and we want to let them know that we are there for them. We feel the desire to build relationships with the people that we minister and witness to. The people we reach are crying out for more. They are in desperate need in many practical ways (jobs, housing, food, education, basic life skills…), but mostly they need Christ. It can be hard to break through the tough exterior that some people have, and that is why we feel it is important to build the relationship, to let them know that we truly care about them, and show them the love of our Heavenly Father. We desire to meet both spiritual and physical needs.

We want the people in the inner city housing areas to realize that there IS a better way. We want them to realize the hope that is found in Christ and that just because they grew up in poverty, or without a father, or in another terrible circumstance – they are not in a hopeless situation.

Our hearts are to reach anyone and everyone that will listen and to provide resources for the community: clothing, rehab resources, food, information on job searches and training programs, self help programs. And through it all, PREACH THE GOSPEL!!!
